A $2.6 million refurbishment is now underway at Bank Australia’s Moe Bank Branch and National Customer Contact Centre.
The view from Moore Street might not look any different, but change is afoot inside Bank Australia’s Moe building with a complete update of the bank branch and the building’s ground and first floors.
The refurbishment will deliver a bright, modern and more sustainable building for Bank Australia’s customers and staff.
The update will provide more workstations to cater for the bank’s growing local workforce and add indoor vertical gardens, a staff wellbeing room, outdoor timber deck and an internal lift.
Construction started in August and the new branch will open in November 2017. The first floor refurbishment will be completed in February 2018.
Bank Australia has a long history of investment in the Latrobe Valley – a third of the Bank’s national workforce is based in the region and the refurbishment will employ a majority of local contractors during construction.
Bank Australia is also creating mutual prosperity for the local community through its investment in local traineeships and Latrobe Youth Choices - a program which supports better education and employment outcomes for young people living in the Latrobe Valley.
During construction customers can access a temporary Moe branch across the road at 25 Moore Street (on the corner of Haigh Street) from Monday to Friday between 9am and 5pm, or speak to local contact centre staff on 132 888.
