Community customer grants
Our community customer grants are for our community customers – organisations not individuals – who are creating change in areas that are important to our customers, such as climate action, affordable and accessible housing, nature and biodiversity, and First Nations Recognition and Respect. In 2026, community customers had the opportunity to apply for a grant of up to $25,000.
If you need support or have any questions about the grants program, please contact impact@bankaust.com.au.
What happens next?
Submitted applications will be reviewed, shortlisted, and assessed by our evaluation committee. The committee includes representatives from across Bank Australia including a board member, several staff members and two individual customers.
Successful recipients will be contacted in June, with grant funds distributed in early July. We aim to notify all unsuccessful applicants by mid‑June.

Frequently asked questions
When will the next grant round open?
Applications for our 2026 community customer grants have now closed. The next round will open in March 2027.
What are the eligibility criteria?
Our grant program is open to customers who have held a Bank Australia or Qudos Bank product for at least 1 year at 30 June every funding year. For example, customers who open a Bank Australia or Qudos Bank product on or before 30 June 2025 are eligible to apply for a 2026 grant.
Applicants must be an organisation, such as a not-for-profit, community organisation, school, volunteer or social enterprise with an ABN. Deductible gift recipient status is not required. Religious, political or commercial organisations are not eligible.
I am a personal customer of Bank Australia or Qudos Bank, but my employer is not a customer. Can my employer still apply for funding?
No. The organisation applying for funding needs to be the Bank Australia or Qudos Bank customer.
Can Bank Australia or Qudos Bank customers partner with other organisations to deliver a project?
Yes. The lead organisation on the project must be a Bank Australia or Qudos Bank customer, but that lead organisation is able to partner with other organisations (who may be customers or not).
Can I submit multiple applications for different projects at the same organisation?
No. Applicants can only submit one application per organisation each round.
I’m a Qudos Bank customer. Can I apply?
Since Bank Australia and Qudos Bank merged in 2025, Qudos Bank customers that are organisations such as a not-for-profit, community organisation, school, volunteer or social enterprise with an ABN are eligible to apply. Check the eligibility requirements in the 2026 grant guidelines.
