What steps are involved?

BOOM! Power provides access to pre-qualified suppliers, making the home electrification journey easier to navigate. BOOM! Power is paid a standardised commission by all successful suppliers. You do not have to work with a BOOM! Power supplier - you can choose your own suppliers to work with.

How to get started with the BOOM! Power Electrify Your Home tool

Once you've opened the tool, add in some details about your home, your estimated energy bills and your current appliances.

Customise your plan and get quotes from suppliers

You'll receive your interactive Electrify Your Home plan, and you can choose to request quotes from pre-qualified suppliers.

What does electrifying your home involve?

It's the process of switching from gas appliances to electric, and using renewable electricity like solar. We understand this is a journey! These are two options you can consider:

Start your journey to electrification through installing solar and upgrading at least one gas appliance to electric. You can then plan to make additional upgrades over time, for example, as your old gas appliances reach their end of life.
Fully electrify your home now through installing solar, upgrading all of your appliances to electric and disconnecting from gas entirely.

Which homes does the BOOM! Power Electrify Your Home tool service?

The BOOM! Power Electrify Your Home tool is available to Bank Australia customers in Victoria, New South Wales, the ACT and Queensland. It will be available to customers in greater Perth, Adelaide, Darwin and Tasmania in 2025. The Electrify Your Home tool currently services freestanding houses. We’re working to include apartments and other dwelling types in future.
